17 years ago today, I gave birth to this beautiful young lady! Yay! 🎂🎈🎁 Everyone says we look a lot alike and I think we may have some of the same personality traits too, both good and bad! 😇😈 I’m so glad she lets me take her picture all of the time with my good camera so I can get these gorgeous portraits of her to have and to hold forever, especially since I know I won't always have her to hold onto forever. (We are already deep into talks about her going away to college next year.) 🎓 📚 Please help me in wishing Jenna a very happy birthday! Today, I'm feeling a little blue because both my girls are sick 😷 and because it still doesn't feel like spring weather out there yet. It is still too cool for me to go hiking with camera in hand like I love to do. 📷 🚶 Come on, Mother Nature, let's get this party started! 💐🌷☀️ Here's an image of my youngest with her blue eyes looking beautiful just because they naturally are and also thanks to a little help from make up done by my oldest, @jenna_ziff . 💄 Here's to them both feeling better soon. One thing I never expected was to love taking pictures of people so much. I've always been a nature photographer doing landscapes and close ups of flowers and things like that. But the time my friend, Laura, asked me to take her son's high school senior pictures changed everything for me. It opened my eyes to a whole new world of photography and I haven't been able to keep my sights off of photographing people (and a pet or two) since! 🐩🐾 This weekend I am photographing an author and blogger as I begin a new area in my business of personal brand photography. Hi, my name is Sheila and here are 5 facts about me: 1. I am definitely more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. 📷 As my daughter took this image of me, I couldn't help but think of my clients and wondered if they felt as hopeful as I did that at least one of the shots turned out okay! 2. I love naps! Whenever possible, I'll steal an hour to catch some 😴. It's the best! 3. I live in a medium sized Midwestern suburb in the U.S. It's a safe place with great schools and good neighbors. Couldn't ask for much more. 👍👍 4. I have one husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs. So, our house is busy, but not crazy. Time flies by ⏳ and we don't have hardly any free days between work, school, and the kids' sports and other activities, but such is life with two teenagers. 5. ☕ Coffee and chocolate are my guilty pleasures. Give me a bit each day and I'll be ready to take on the world! 💪 Tell me some fact about you!
