The Clark Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Mississippi River between West Alton, Missouri and Alton, Illinois. Named after explorer William Clark like the bridge it replaced, the cable-stayed bridge opened in 1994. It carries U.S. Route 67 across the river. (Wikipedia)

This is a pic of a causeway across the Centaur Chute that serves as the entrance to Howell Island in Chesterfield, MO. The causeway has been partly washed away by the water running over it when the river gets high. The chute runs about two thirds the way around the island with the Missouri River being on the opposite side of this view point.
