Johnson’s Shut-ins State Park

The last stop on our adventure was Johnson’s Shut-ins State Park. During the summer the shut-ins on the Black River are open to swimming in for the public. There have been deaths from swimming in the dangerous rapids. They are beautiful, though.

Sunset Pond

A peaceful evening overlooking the water. The temps have been a little more bearable this week in the 80s with lower humidity. How is the weather where you are?

Bridge and Fountain

I am in my third day of quitting diet sports drinks, like Propel and Powerwater and I’ve been getting headaches. They don’t have caffeine in them so I know it’s not that but they are sweetened with the artificial sweetener sucralose. Can you get withdrawal symptoms from sucralose? I can’t find anything about it online.

Lake Photos and a What the Heck Moment

I heard them play Nirvana on the oldies station this morning and I was like, what the heck! I was barely an adult when they were popular and they are already considered an oldie. What does that make me 😳

What was your last “what the heck” moment?
