I quit my dog walking job so I should have more time this spring and summer to explore and take lots of pictures. Do you travel far from home to take pictures or do you stay close by?

This one reminds me of Dylan…the pump don’t work cause the vandals broke the handles.

What do you consider traveling far to take photos? Most of my photos are taken within 100 miles of my home. Probably within 50 miles. But I do take trips that can be over 100 miles from my home several times a year. I do find many subjects within my fence line. Lol.

Traveling for me would be about anything over 30 miles. I like to stay close by and need extra motivation to get out of my city because I don’t really like driving.

Well too bad we don’t live closer cuz I would do the driving. Lol. I’m just been waiting for the weather to kind of stabilize more for me to travel farther away from home like up into the mountains or out to the desert. I am planning a trip in late May. So, hopefully they’ll be some photo ops. Then. Lol But since I live on almost 2 acres, I generally find things to take photos of just by walking around my place, which I do pretty much almost everyday.

I bet you find stuff. I would love to have some land to explore with my camera.

Well, I’m sure you can find things just in your neighborhood. I find a lot of things just in the general area I live going to and from a store or something like that. But then I live in a little bit more of a rural type of area.

Yes I am in the suburbs. Lots of shopping centers.

OH! I’m not sure if I’m reading this image correctly, but it looks like a water pump. If it is, there’s something terribly poignant about the combination of the padlock and the green grass / concrete beside it. Very thought provoking! Linda x

Yes it is a water pump in a local park. Thanks, Linda!
