Oh this post! It is cuteness overload. We have always had dogs. Yet, ever since my daughter got two kittens about four years ago, our love for cats has grown. We now have 2 young cats of our own and they are very social and such a delight!
Of course I had to get out my Sony a7 III to take some fun pictures of them and then do some minor edits of the photos in Lightroom. They are perfect models!
This is Mochi and he is about 5 months old. He is a flame point Siamese.

According to Google AI: “Orange Tabbies or Gingers are Domestic short hair cats and a Flame point or Red point Siamese is a cross breed of Ginger and Siamese, rare—because the ginger chromosome for the coat color is 75% male. They have a delightful demeanor and have the best of both breeds.” His beautiful blue eyes are from the Siamese mix in him. My other daughter recently rescued a Siamese mix that I posted about here.
Next up is Mello and he is about 6 months old. Mello was named by his foster mom as short for Caramello. Mochi was named by her as Mallo, short for Marshmallow, but we thought they sounded too similar and renamed Mallo to Mochi.

Mochi and Mello were found orphaned on the streets at different times. They ended up in the same foster home together and quickly became best buddies. They were described as “bonded” which means the adoption agency would prefer that they be adopted together and not separated since this would cause extra distress for them. We were only happy to take both of them because they are the cutest sweetest boys! Look how much they love each other!

One more of them together that I grabbed with my Sony…

They have been here for 3 weeks now and have adapted very well. They came from a foster home of 13 cats so now they have a lot more space and calmness when they need it. And of course all of the toys are now theirs except for what my senior dog tries to claim.
The cats and my dog, Daisy, have adjusted well together, too, thank goodness. Just one big happy family!
