ICM No. 338 and 339 and Wonky Eyes

These are intentional camera movement images of some of the plants and bushes in my front landscaping and they look like it would appear if you had wonky eyes, which I did last week as I will explain.

I’m sad to say I still haven’t gotten out to take some nature pictures. The weather has been nice but my health has not.

In addition to other things, I am now having visual auras with my migraines which I’ve never experienced before. It is very strange to have your eyes go all wonky out of the blue. I did get an emergency visit to the eye doctor just to make sure there wasn’t anything actually wrong with my eyes and they said my eyes look great and that it sounds migraine related.

I am remaining focused on things to be grateful for and there are so many of them. What are you grateful for today?

    beautiful pics Shiela!

btw – I would be crying if I had eye issues that go with my headaches. do you have those cold compress things that you put over your eyes? do you think those would help? Mike

Hi, Mike, thanks! I have a cold compress that I can put over my whole head and pull it down over my eyes if I want. I never tried it over my eyes though. It is a strange phenomenon that happens with my eyes. I see clear, shimmering, wavy lines in my peripheral vision. They remind me of the heat waves you see coming off the street in the movies sometimes. Lasted about 30 minutes the first time and less the second time. I sure hope that’s the last of them!

I hope so too! how do you fare with that cold compress? I have the same one that I use for my headaches but it never really sorts them out and plus sometimes, the cold just gets too much for my head.

It feels best for me if it is directly on top of my head versus wrapped around like it’s designed. I also found that keeping it in the freezer is painfully cold on my head so I keep mine in the refrigerator and it is plenty cold.

yes, that’s pretty much what I’ve done too. thanks for your perspective about where to keep it. I’ll try it next time in the fridge instead of the freezer!

Oh no! I’ve never had aura, only paralysis (like I’ve had a stroke and can’t walk or talk), but only when it’s really bad. I’m sorry things hav3 taken a turn. If there’s any time next week you’re up for a chat, I’m happy to set up a zoom, (you just hav3 to remind me where you are so I can figure out the time difference), Linda xx

You say, “only paralysis”. Omg that sounds awful. The young tech who helped me at the eye doctor has chronic migraine with stroke symptoms. We bonded during our short time together. You can only understand migraines if you also have them. I am glad I don’t have paralysis as a symptom and hope I never do. I am stunned that I am having aura now. We’ll see if it keeps happening or if it was just a fluke. I am in Central Daylight Time right now in St. Louis, Missouri. Next week is bad for me but how about the week after that? Would love a chat!

It’s amazing how quickly you can bond over a mutual diagnosis – we really do “get it”. (I’ll look up the time-zone thing and throw some options out for the 15th onwards). Take care my friend. Linda xx
