It’s All in How You Frame It!

I went to Flatwoods Park in O’Fallon, Missouri (USA) a couple weeks ago and to my disappointment it wasn’t a “park” but a loading ramp for canoes and kayaks into the Cuivre River. You couldn’t even “park” your car there which makes me wonder where the canoers and kayakers park. If you look hard enough there are still nice pictures to be made wherever you go!

Love the landscape orientation – but both look pretty parky to me! L xx

Thanks, Linda. The landscape orientation is how the WordPress theme i use presents a featured image. I never used that option until I realized that this theme won’t show pictures on my homepage unless I use it. It is such a pain to change themes I haven’t had the energy to do it again. I’m glad I found a little corner to photograph that gave the illusion of a park lol

You did well! I see now what you’re saying about the featured image – my template crops it to a horizontal band too, but when you open up the post it pops into full size – silly me for not realizing it might be the same for everyone else! I tried about 10 different templates for the first few weeks I was blogging, no way I’d change it now… it’s bland but it works – so it’s a done deal – I would be too scared of any knock-on changes I might trigger! have a wonderful weekend my friend, L xx
