These are some shots of the sunset in my neighborhood. I think I am finished with sunsets and sunrises; not that I have mastered them. Far from it! I just need a ND filter and a good spot to capture anything better than what I can get among suburban obstacles like houses, tree lines, power lines, etc., neither of which I have at the moment.
I am not sure what I am going to photograph in the meantime. I have a few more images to post here before I run out of unpublished ones. I would really love to do more portraits, but the opportunity hasn’t presented itself lately. I suppose I could rework some old images. I seem to be stuck. Any suggestions?

I have to agree with buddy71. Just point and click. I remember a couple of years ago I read a challenge that specified driving on the freeway/highway for 25 miles then taking the first exit after that and start shooting. I think this is what started our exploring on weekends. We are now up to over 100 miles one way before we get off to explore. You can vary this by walking for a specific time or distance and then shoot. Or, you can rework old images , something I started doing this year.

Love the freeway challenge idea. I think half my problem is staying too close to home. I need to venture out a little more. Get out of my comfort zone (and my zip code.) Thanks for the ideas!

You’re welcome.Hope you don’t become addicted like me. I started this about two or three years ago and, as I said, now we keep going on further and further trips each weekend.

I stop and shoot whenever the lighting catches my eye on something. Especially late morning or early evening light adds much to almost any subject. Watch for spotlights or interesting shadows perhaps?

I will try that. Thanks for the tip!
