what image settings are you using and can you change them? im talking about picture control….where you can set it for standard, neutral, vivid, monochrome, etc. i use the vivid setting (for color) and under each setting i can control such things as contrast, brightness etc. do you have something similar???

Yes, I’ve been using standard and haven’t experimented with any of the other settings yet. There are many to play with. Vivid, neutral, clear, deep, light, portrait, landscape, sunset, night scene, autumn leaves, black and white, and sepia! I think I will go out back and try some test shots now just to see the difference. I didn’t realize there were so many. 🙂

Bad news, I just found out after trying some test shots changing the creative styles setting does not affect RAW files which is what I always shoot. A quick search on the internet confirms this. Oh well.

Yes, a family built this in 1922 for their home and it eventually became a hotel. In 1942 it caught fire from a spark from one of the chimneys and was never restored.
