Trees are one of my most favorite things in nature. They are tall and strong and beautiful; breathtaking in any season. This winter tree is aglow in the setting sun.
I remember feeling in awe when I made this photo…of the contrast of the white snow and the dark trunk and branches. Of the way the light hit the upper parts. Of the many twists and turns of the limbs and twigs.
To witness such a wonder made me feel happy and blessed and excited.
And that is why nature photography is good for my mental health. After having a difficult day today, I feel better now for just having a look at the image.
