Intentions Set for the Season

I’m setting an intention for this season of spring to spend more time outdoors to make pictures (of course) during slow meditative walks. To look high and low, close and far, and on the surface and deep into what the earth has to show me.

Some days, I will leave my camera behind and just take it all in.

What is something you are looking forward to doing this season?

I have a few ‘projects’ in mind this year. I set my New Year’s intentions in January to use different films and different formats, and that’s going quite well. I’m also taking part in a fun ‘competition’, the Crappy Commie Camera Party, and for that I have a cheap Zenit SLR and some accessories. Here the plan is to take a walk (or several) to old haunts and new, and make what I hope will be some really trippy images. In theory (and a film-free test), it should work. So when the storms finally pass, I hope to be getting out and about.

Thanks, Mike. I plan to enjoy brighter mornings as well, hopefully outdoors to get some sunshine early in the day to help regulate my circadian rhythm as I have a terrible time staying asleep through the night.
