Nature’s Layers

I’m enjoying my Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens. It is so lightweight and compact that I can get at angles I never used to be able to with the large and heavy Sigma 24-70mm. It is a great walking around lens that is making me excited to create pictures again.

    great looking shot Sheila!
one of my biggest regrets was trading away my 24-70 f/4-5.6
it was engineered precisely for its need – to be able to create fantastic pictures in ample light without the extra weight.
i am looking at third party 24-105 lenses right now that are light and the only one I’ve found so far is the canon 24-105 STM (not the red – line USM) and it’s really cheap. I may spring for it as it ticks the same boxes you needed for your photo walks.

Thanks, Mike. My 24-70 is f/2.8 which is great for portrait work but I don’t shoot that open with my nature photos since I mostly do landscapes. Good luck on the hunt for your new lens!
